Week 26: Howick NZ - Grateful

Hello friends and family!

This week has been a little crazy but I'm still loving it out here.  New Zealand has introduced me to the beauty of tropical flowers.  I love all the colors!

I have been receiving MAD revelation... and so can you! This week's scripture study has brought me greater understanding on a large variety of topics, including our Temples, the Restoration, Giants (Search Bible Dictionary-- it's wild), Unicorns, Dragons, and the 12 Tribes of Israel. It is really cool to see how many answers are lying in the scriptures, ready to be found. And don't worry, all the extra studies were during free time ;)

Virus Update:Everyone is still wary about it- almost all of our Chinese friends have isolated themselves to stay healthy. In the Howick Ward we've been told as a congregation not to shake hands or hug anymore, but people still come in for a warm greeting, so we don't know what to do ahha. I personally just see what they go for and reciprocate, if it's a head nod, great, if it's a full on hug with cheek kiss, cool for now-- I can sanitize when we're done greeting people! It's a scary thing that it's here, but at this point for me, all I can do is pray, keep up healthy habits and continue on with the work. The virus is even worse in Washington state, so I honestly just pray for my friends and family at home to be protected moving forward.

Visiting a Chinese Member:We were finally able to visit one of our Chinese Members in the West this week (Howick is in the East so it's hard to have the time to take the trip). She is an older woman who is starting to lose her memory- she and her son are probably in the most humble circumstances I've seen here. We are really so blessed to be able to meet them and know them, and for all the love they have for us.

Those We're Teaching:
We have two families who are continuing to progress, and it's been really cool to see how they've been able to accept Jesus Christ into their lives. They're at a point where they really just want to ask God to know truth, and it's been really cool to see them come to that point.
Exchanges:I went on exchanges with Sister Vahai and Sister Gabut this week. It was really cool to be able to be with Sister Gabut and feel of her spirit and willingness to serve the Lord. While on exchanges we had an opportunity to teach one of their people about Family History and it's honestly so cool!! I find it amazing to know where we came from, and what our family has been through, and to learn from their experiences.

Gratitude:I am so grateful to be here on my mission. I'm so grateful to be healthy. I am so grateful for the efforts other missionaries have put out to be here. This week has just really helped me feel gratitude for my life and circumstances, and most importantly, God's love and His plan for me.
Food Review:
I know I mentioned it last time, but I wanted to rate Cocoa Rice!! The family who gave it to us last time made some more for us. As I was eating it for breakfast this morning, I decided I held no fault with it and thus I would give it100/100 🎉  Haha - but also I can't have it too often or I'd for sure get sick of it.

I love you all and I'm so grateful for your prayers and support.
